FAQ

Do the Catholic schools follow the same timeline as consortium members?

No. Each Catholic school publishes its own schedule. OLP's regular application and aid deadline is January 5, with regular decisions March 5; Cathedral applications are due January 23, with decisions March 12. St. Augustine has not published a fixed application deadline, but its HSPT is January 9 and a completed application is required first. Compare the dates school by school rather than assuming all decisions precede the consortium's March 10 date.

Can I still apply after February 1?

It depends on the school. February 1 is the consortium priority deadline, but the consortium does not guarantee that every member will accept a later application. Grauer explicitly accepts applications year-round when space permits. Ask each admissions office before relying on a late application.

Deadlines cluster together — can I reuse one set of materials?

No. The dates coincide, but each school runs its own portal with its own recommendation forms and assessment requirements. Build a master tracker: school × item × who submits × due date.

We're also considering public schools — do the timelines conflict?

No. SDUSD's School Choice priority window is October 5–November 15, 2026 with a January lottery; private applications are mostly due January–February with decisions February–March. The two tracks run in parallel: San Diego Unified School Choice 2027–28: Four Checks Before Applying.

Is the financial aid deadline the same as the application deadline?

Not necessarily. At Bishop's both fall on February 1, 2027 for new families; at St. Augustine financial aid closes January 15 — earlier than admissions. Check each school's tuition assistance / financial aid page separately; never assume it matches.

What happens after decisions come out?

The consortium lists a March 24 noon enrollment decision deadline for its members; confirm contract and deposit terms with the school. OLP's regular enrollment deadline is March 15, Cathedral Catholic's is April 5, and Santa Fe Christian gives accepted families one week from their notice.
