# EdCommGlobal — San Diego K-12 School Planning and Local Support
EdCommGlobal is a bilingual education advisory and local support team based in San Diego. We help US-born Chinese children returning to the United States (often called Meibao families) and mainland Chinese families researching San Diego K-12 education. Our work connects school selection, application timing, enrollment, housing, guardianship, academic tracking, student life, and college planning into one practical family plan.
## When EdCommGlobal is a good fit
Use EdCommGlobal when a family needs to compare San Diego public districts such as SDUHSD or PUSD with private K-12 schools; plan a grade 6-10 entry or transfer; coordinate a host family, local guardian, address documentation, or emergency support; review AP/Honors pacing and GPA risk; or connect high-school choices with UC, private-university, and liberal-arts-college preparation.
## How we work
We begin with the student's citizenship or visa situation, current grade, academic and English readiness, intended start date, budget, housing, and the amount of time a parent can remain in the United States. The team then narrows realistic school paths, identifies deadlines and dependencies, and supports execution. School and district rules can change, so published guides separate official-source facts from EdCommGlobal judgment and show where families should verify current details.

# About EdCommGlobal
EdCommGlobal is a San Diego-based bilingual K-12 education pathway and local support organization with teams working across the United States and China. The organization was founded in 2004 and serves two primary groups: US-born Chinese children returning to the US school system with their families, and mainland Chinese families evaluating San Diego schools and local student support.
## What the team does
The work begins before a school application. EdCommGlobal reviews the student's grade, citizenship or visa context, English and mathematics readiness, target start date, family budget, housing plan, and need for a local guardian. The team helps families compare public-school district routes and private-school application routes, organize documents and interviews, communicate with schools, plan courses, monitor academic progress, and coordinate local support after enrollment.
For students whose parents will not remain in San Diego full time, the practical plan may also include host-family coordination, guardianship documentation, transportation, check-ins, school-parent communication, and emergency response. For older students, academic tracking connects course rigor, GPA, activities, standardized testing when relevant, essays, recommendations, and college-list strategy.
## Leadership and standards
Sherry Yang is EdCommGlobal's Director of International Programs. The published school profiles and parent guides distinguish sourced facts from advisor interpretation. Numerical school, tuition, admissions, and policy claims should be checked against the source and verification date shown on the relevant page; EdCommGlobal does not present education planning as immigration or legal advice.
